Harris And Hollins Ever Present
Ron Harris played all Chelsea’s league games in four different seasons, a club record shared with John Hollins. Ron didn’t miss a gam in 1964/65 , 1966, 67, 1972/72 and 1974/75. John was an ever-present in 4 out of 5 seasons; 1969/70, 1971/72, 1972/73 and 1973/74.
Frank Lampard Is Spot On
Frank Lampard has only scored 33 out of 37 (89.19%)standard spot kicks for Chelsea and the miss against Portsmouth in the FA Cup Final is his only one fired wide. In penalty shoot-outs he has scored in 5 of 6 (83.33%), the one denial was saved.
Drogba And Lampard Are 20+ Goalscoring Duo
For the first time in our history we’ve had two players score 20 league goals or more in a season with those players being Didier Drogba (29) and Frank Lampard (22).
Benjamin Howard Baker Is The Only Goalkeeper To Score
Benjamin Howard Baker back in the 1920s is the only goalie to score for Chelsea. Dave Beasant scored in Kerry Dixon’s testimonial in March 1995 but that was as an outfield player. He netted at the Matthew Harding end as Spurs were beaten 5-1. No Chelsea Goalkeeper has scored in a competitive match.
